Summary: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between patterns of Educational Leadership and Organizational Climate of Heads of Academic Departments at the University of the Western Mountain in Libya From the perspective of Faculty Members, Through identifying the dominant leadership styles from the following the types of leadership: (autocratic, and democratic, and permissive), and the organizational climate within Academic Departments. The study sample consisted of (503) faculty members, they were randomly selected in view of the professional rank of faculty members, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach,in addition to the questionnaire as a key tool in the study, furthermore thee research data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS), the study resulted in many findings among which is that the heads of Educational Departments in the University utilized the third pattern of Educational Leadership,the democratic style was ranked first with a high degree, then came the permissive style in the second place with a high degree as well,however the autocratic style came in third place with a medium degree.study also showed that the faculty members perceptions towards the level of the organizational climate was positive with a high degree, it was also evident in the study that the patterns of Educational Leadership has been associated with statistically significant positive relationship with organizational climate and that there is statistically significant positive relationship between the Educational Leadership styles, The results also showed there is no statistically significant differences in the patterns of leadership attributable to the variables (nationality,age,and years of experience, and professional rank), furthermore the results of this study showed no statistically significant differences for a typical autocratic and democratic leadership attributable to the variables of sex and specialization, with the presence of statistically significant differences for the pattern of the permissive style due to the variables of sex in favor of female and specialization in favor of Applied knowledge, in addition the results showed no statistically significant differences to the level of the organizational climate and its fields attributable to the variables (sex, nationality, years of experience,and professional rank), the results also showed no statistically significant differences to the level of the organizational climate and its specialization attributed to the variables of specialization and age, Except for the field of management style in which statistically significant differences excited in this field and it was attributed to variable of applied knowledge and in the area of work incentives attributed to the age variable for the age group (less than 35 years old).
